Removing Trapped Air by Phil Helms

You’ve just mounted a deer and stepped back to admire your handiwork and notice some areas are not sticking to the form.

This is usually most noticeable in the brisket. In the majority of cases the problem is trapped air between the hide and the form.

To release the trapped air, all you have to do is take a large disposable syringe, insert the needle into the air pocket and pull the air out.

This acts as a vacuum, and actually pulls the hide down to the form and hide paste.
