Jean demonstrates her method for producing a custom mannikin using the carcass casting method. In this video, Jean is using a stillborn baby aoudad, but this method will work for any other small mammal. Beginning with a skinned carcass, Jean describes how to first determine the desired pose, and then proceeds with the steps required for creating a plaster mold. Note: This method is for a ONE-TIME use mold.

Jean lives on a farm near Perry, Michigan. She started doing taxidermy in 1976. Jean began competing in 1980 at Taxidermy Review, then MI Taxidermist Association, Piedmont, IGT, and the Nationals. Over the years, Jean has won over a dozen Best of Shows, and many Peoples Choice. She has also won three WASCO awards, one of which was received at the Nationals. She has also won both the Large and Small mammal National Championship, Large and Small Mammal North American Champion, three Distinguished Taxidermist Awards, Best of Show, and People's Choice Award.
