As of July 27, 2007 Matt Thompson Taxidermy Supply
has become the newest member of the McKenzie family
of companies. Matt's business was founded in 1985 in
Lovejoy, Georgia with a keen interest in fish and a
concentration on foam fish bodies. Over the next 22
years Matt developed over 900 forms for nearly every
species of freshwater fish. In addition to his famous
fish forms, Matt designed and sculptured his own line
of whitetail deer and later added a complete line of
fiberglass fish blanks and a full line of taxidermy
supplies.
If you have had the opportunity to spend any time around
Matt, you know that he has a real passion for his farm
in Georgia and his interest in fishing. In announcing
the sale of the business Matt said, "After 30 years
in the business, I have decided to spend more time on
my farm and pursue some other interests." While Matt
enjoys his semi-retirement hunting and fishing, he will
continue to consult with McKenzie on his product line.
The complete line of Matt's products will be stocked
at McKenzie's North Carolina facility and many of them
are already stocked at McKenzie's distribution centers
in Nebraska and Texas. While informing his customers
