The gills are made of a rigid red plastic so they can be heated to conform to any gill opening. The shape can be bent to make it conform to the throat contours and the gills can be opened wider or closed down depending on how open the gill cover is. When cooled, the plastic will firm back up and stay in the shape you want. If only one gill is needed they can easily be divided into separate gills. Sold in pairs and each side consists of two gills attached on the ends. The range of sizes will fit fish from 2 pounds up to 75 pounds. They come ready to use and do not require painting.
