Repairing Ear Cuts and Tears

Sooner or later everyone cuts a hole in an ear when removing the cartilage or splitting the ear.

A simple fix:

When your hide is prepped and ready to mount, shave a thin piece of hide from the skin or find a thin piece of buckskin slightly larger than the hole.

Carefully close the hole as best your can, then apply an instant glue around the hole.

Carefully place the hide shaving over the hole, lightly pressing into the glue.

In a minute your ear is repaired and you are ready to proceed with mounting.
