Anchoring a Swimming Bird Mount to a Base by Joe Ferebee

When anchoring a swimming mount to a driftwood pedestal use two
wires that will be inserted into the bird body form.

Two wires, one long and one short are sharpened on both ends.
They are then drilled into the driftwood with a power drill leaving enough exposed to insert
the bird form, but not enough to come completely through.

When the bird is set up, it is pushed onto the wires. This produces a very stable mount
Wire size will depend on the size of the bird being mounted.
